I created a texture which is used in the basement ( library journal room ) in photoshop. However, photoshop created errors when saving as a png with alpha transparency support. So I imported the generated image (.psd) into gimp and used the gimp to save the image with proper png alpha transparency support. That worked, thank goodness!

Library
Particle Systems
Particle systems are hard... but essentially what they are are 2d sprites. Images on a plane always facing the user, and generated per a linden script. I started mucking around with the code a little bit, and just came up with a little glowing box that has particles the go invisible very quickly. I then copied and pasted this script onto a sculptie.

I wrote a nice little java program that takes one screenshot a minute for an hour and saves it to the current directory. Was a bit of fun to write... might develop it a bit further during the break, but it came in VERY handy for this assignment, so thought i would let you know! And if I can figure out how to upload a copy then I will...
Treehouse
Our group designed a treehouse in archicad, but lost the original ( we forgot to save it in a lab ). So, after many hours of playing with archicad and experimenting we came up with a second design. Here are the screenshots (PDFS in next post):

Media Textures on Prims and Sculpties
I added a media texture - an interactive web site display using the built in browser - to both a prim and a sculptie in the original secondlife grid.

Interestingly on the NZVWG media textures were not possible - the option was disabled. Unsure why this is. Hopefully it will remedy itself soon.
